This place was the beginning of my little winter trip. As I entered the main valley I first felt a tiny bit disappointed due to the fact that I didn’t see any proper snow which changed right after accelerating on top of one of the surrounding mountains where the facility is located: Theres still snow! I couldn’t believe my eyes.
A little walk through the forest, over thought of slippy iced out ground I got to the clearing where the little Ramenai village is located. being far, far away from the rest of the town this place feels so remote and quiet and super different to what I’ve seen in my winter vacations so far.
The wooden house is well equipped, also with a kitchen and the owners left a a nice selection of local groceries. The house has so many details that combine traditional Austrian architecture with modern accents. The highlight is definitely the Sauna with a huge panorama window looking right into the forrest. There’s a vivid cross-country skiing scene in this area and plenty of amazing outdoors stuff to do. I can only recommend a stay in the Ramenai!
