Machu Picchu

11. April 2015

Machu Picchu – definitely one of the highlights we were looking forward to. That’s why we felt like it’s ok to spend a huge amount of money to go there. We went to Aguas Calientes by train and spent the night in order to catch one of the first buses going up hill. When we arrived everything was covered in fog until at one point the fog slowely passed and revealed what has been hidden before. The only thing which made this moment even more perfect was the pain au chocolat I’ve bought at “Cafe de Paris” while we’ve been waiting for the bus and which I managed not to eat during the bus drive. This is for sure one of the most touristy places ever existed and still it is so amazingly beautiful that I’m just grateful to have been able to see it. Also, I’ cured my Pizza-Trauma at “Incontri del pueblo Viejo” in Aguas Calientes, one of the nice restaurants between tons of tourist traps. DSC_0510
